What colours are available?

All colours are available including RGB (Red, Green & Blue) RGW (Red, Green & White). Colour temperatures are also available from 2500K – 6500K.

How is the LED Lighting Installed?

For LED lighting installation, the strip can be easily attached to existing infrastructure (eg. Mesh, Cable Channels, Cataneries etc) with the use of Cable Ties. We can also provide a UPVC or Aluminium strip for a more uniform/aesthetic look.

What are the Lux Levels on the Strip?

The LED lighting Lux Levels are dependent on how many LED’s per meter. Please see Spec’s Sheet on Product Pages.

Quality Management & Control

The manufacture of the entire x-Glo product range is subject to international Quality Management and Quality Control standards in accordance with the ISO 9001:2008 and accredited to carry the UKAS Accreditation Mark as verified by the NQA verification authority.

Flame Retardancy Testing

To ensure that the light strip is fire retardant and self-extinguishing to the EN 60598-1:2008+A1:2009 standard.

Water Ingress Protection Testing

Is conducted to ensure that no moisture enters the light strip to the IEC 60529:1989 + A1:1999 + A1:2013 standard.

Corrosion Immersion Testing

All accessories are subject to prolonged in house corrosion immersion testing to verify the durability of the product when exposed to weak Hydrochloric Acid, Alkali and Sea Water Spray to the IEC 68-2-11 and GB/T 6461-2002 standards.

UV Light Strip Testing

With Xenon lamps to the ISO 4892-2-2009 standard.

Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Light Strip Testing

For Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Hexavalent, chromium. Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE’s) to verify compliance with RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU recasting 2002/95/EC.

Photobiological Testing

Is conducted to the IEC EN 62471:2008 standard which verifies that the Actinic UV light or Near UV light emitted does not cause human eye retinal or skin irritation under test conditions.

Electromagnetic Emissions Testing

Is conducted to the EN 55015:2013 / 6100-3-2:2014 /6100-3-3:2013 / 61547:2009 standards to determine the maximum emissions emanating from the LED light strip.

Low Voltage Device Testing

Is conducted to the EN 60598-2-21:2015 and 60598-1:2015 standards, and the x-Glo light strip/accessories are certified to conform to LVD Directive 2014/35/EU. The product is also tested to the UL 2108 Low Voltage Lighting and UL 1598 Luminaires, and CSA 250.0-08 standards.

Flexible Lighting Products Testing

All 120 Volt strip lighting/accessories are tested to the UL 2388 Flexible Lighting Products standard.

Weight/Tensile Strength Testing

All x-Glo strip lighting and its connectors are subject to in house prolonged weight/tensile strength testing to ensure that they have the required strength and are suitable for the harsh conditions they will be subjected to.

Impact Testing

All x-Glo strip lighting is subject to in house impact testing to ensure that the product has the required impact strength.

Photometric Testing

All x-Glo strip lighting is subject to Photometric Testing in accordance with the Everfine Goniophotometers System Test to verify that the specified amount of luminosity is continuously available from the high-grade LED’s that are used.

Lifecycle Testing

All x-Glo strip lighting is subject to in house Lifecycle Testing whereby it is energised 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to monitor and test for any signs of drop in luminescence, PVC deterioration or any other form of deterioration. This testing has been ongoing continuously over the last 5 years.
